About Our League

The Mount Union Little League was founded in 1952 to provide the youth of Mount Union with baseball related activities to fill their summers. The Legion, Lions, Rotary, and VFW sponsored the first teams in the league.

Officially chartered with Little League Baseball International, our league competes in Pennsylvania District 11.

Our league is open to children living within the 372 square miles that compromise the Mount Union Area and Southern Huntingdon County school districts in Huntingdon and Wayne Township, Mifflin County.

Primary operations are located in Mount Union, Pennsylvania, with fields in Calvin, Pennsylvania; Orbisonia, Pennsylvania; Saltillo, Pennsylvania; and Three Springs, Pennsylvania.

The 2016 season features 31 teams across 4 baseball divisions.

Major Division: For players age 9-12. This is our highest level of baseball. The division is made up mainly of 10, 11, and 12 year olds, but is open to 9 year olds who are ready to advance early.

This division is made primarily of 9 and 10 year olds, but is also open to 11 year olds who are not ready for the Major Division and 7 and 8 year olds who are ready to advance early.

Rookie Division: For players age 5-9. This division is our first step of competitive baseball. The division is played with coach pitch and full substitutions. The division is mainly made up of 7 and 8 year olds, but is also open to 9 year olds who are not ready for Minor Division and 5 and 6 year olds who are ready to advance early.

Teeball Division: For players age 4-8. This division introduces our children to the basic fundamentals of baseball. It is a hybrid of coach pitch and tee hitting designed to teach our children the basic building blocks of baseball.
